STORIES OF HOME: FINDING COMMUNITY AND BELONGING IN PEEL

PROJECT STORY
Story Factory Studios collaborated with Elsonstudio on the new permanent exhibition at Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA), Stories of Home. We worked collaboratively with the curatorial and interpretive team at PAMA to devise the design concept, a welcoming community ‘living room’ that engages adults and children alike to share stories about how Peel Region serves as home. A play kitchen has drawers with case work inside, showcasing community artifacts. An interactive wall asks visitors to share their story of home, and an interactive with rotating blocks animates videos of immigrant stories.
